Master's Degree Fees in Italy

State Universities

Tuition fees for master's degrees at public universities in Italy range from 150 to 4,000 euros per year on average. Public universities in Italy may adjust tuition fees based on student income. Additionally, many public universities offer scholarships and discounts for low-income or high-achieving students.

Private Universities

Private universities charge higher fees. Annual master's degree fees can range from 5,000 to 20,000 euros, depending on the program and the prestige of the university. For example, master's degree fees can be higher at universities such as Bocconi University, which is prominent in economics and business, or Politecnico di Milano, which is famous for engineering.

Is the Diploma I Received in Italy Valid Abroad?

Yes, when you graduate in Italy you will receive a “blue diploma” that is valid worldwide. This diploma is valid in Europe and many other countries, and countries like the Netherlands can also offer a one-year job search visa after graduation when you graduate from an Italian University that is among the top 200 in the world.

Is there a GPA requirement for a Master's degree?

Most master's programs in Italy do not require a minimum GPA. With the exception of some programs such as technical and health, a 2.5 GPA is considered sufficient for most English programs, which appeals to a wide range of students.

Is ALES or YDS Required for a Master's Degree in Italy?
